This past year was kind of a waste for me, fanart-wise. I did get my personal website finished (finally!) and posted a lot of my original pieces there... but I kinda let my DA gallery stagnate.
So, for 2010, I've decided to complete a prompt list of ten items. I've never done one of these before but I think it will help keep me motivated and provide a little inspiration when I'm staring at blank paper.
I know, ten items may not seem like a huge accomplishment in a year- but it would be twice what I completed in 2009 and I'm attempting a hundred item prompt list for my original works (so it's not like I'll be lazing about ~_^).
Here's my list:
1) Crash
2) Float On
3) Numb
4) Opposite
5) Starlight
6) Superstition
7) Shunned
8) Beach
9) Circle
10) Give
Has anyone else made an art-related resolution for the New Year? Anyone completing a prompt list? Any tips for actually finishing it?

As far as page-views go, this may not be of much consolation but I've found that original designs rarely get the same traffic that fanart gets. Your gallery features some beautiful photography but, because it doesn't focus on Naruto or Bleach or A:TLA characters, it won't attract the same wide audience... I've seen many mediocre artists with huge fan followings simply because they cater to their watchers' tastes.
So don't worry about the numbers; just have fun with your art and keep exploring your own creativity!

My work schedule is so jam-packed that almost all my free time goes towards working on my professional portfolio and completing paid commissions I’ve taken; so I just can’t afford to do requests, right now.
I’m sorry! But if things change, I’ll let you know! Regardless, I’m looking forward to seeing the site and more of your artwork!
