There aren't many episodes left in the series and, as the finale draws closer, I find it harder and harder to imagine how Zutara could possibly become cannon in such a short time frame. It seems very unlikely...

However, cannon or not, this is my favorite Avatar pairing and here is my meager tribute to them. ^_^

The hardest part of this project was the lightning; halfway through, I considered erasing the whole thing and starting over with fire. ^^' Luckily, Gaussian Blur works miracles and totally saved the picture. *grin*

My favorite part is the water, though. I loved working on the water; I'll probably do more waterbending pictures just so I can play around with drawing that element. ~_^

I know what you mean, Zutara seems utterly impossible now, and yet we still fandom it.

The one thing that keeps hope alive in my mind is the uncomfortable expression on Katara's face after Aang kissed her in The Day of Black Sun. There's got to be something behind that! Though maybe it's Jet... ~_^

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! I look forward to seeing Zuko master lightning, too; the animators do a great job with the effect and I can't wait to see it used more in battle. :)
